Data Architect

Up to £60K+ + Car Allowance + Package + Fantastic Benefits

Working near Swindon in a dynamic working environment!

A fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected, market leading Financial Services client as a Data Architect.

The Data Architect will design new solutions for developments projects that also meet wider 'Enterprise' requirements. You will produce data models and data flows, identify change opportunities that support a more data driven culture and liaise with onshore and offshore development partners.

This is a great opportunity to learn and develop, you'll be actively encouraged to take professional qualifications, and understand industry trends.

The Data Architect will have the following skills/experience;

  • Proven experience of capturing Data Requirements within a Data Architect position
  • Strong experience in Datamodelling - conceptual, logical, and physical
  • Significant experience in a development environment.
  • Experience and ability to use an industry standard modelling tool (eg ErWin)
  • Relational SQL and an understanding of Integration Tool
  • Production of Technical Design Documentation
  • A thorough understanding of Normalisation is essential, dimensional modelling useful.
  • General Design Patterns for Data Integration, with an understanding og
  • A good understanding of most of the 11 'DAMA' Knowledge Areas
  • Data Warehousing, Data Integration & Master Data particularly relevant
  • Detailed knowledge and experience of the development life cycle, ideally both waterfalland agile.
  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels across the business
  • Analytical, articulate with the ability to understand and convey often complex concepts.
