: Job Details Assistant 2 Youth Worker Schools and Duke of Edinburgh Award Grade (JNC points 7-10) £19791-£21750 pro-rota 18 hours per week £9895-£10,874 We are seeking an experienced and high quality individual who has a track record in working within schools and delivering the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. The role has a focus on-
  • Working within educational establishments to support, advise and train DofE Award Unit Leaders
  • Planning, leading and evaluating DoE expeditions
  • Delivering structured accredited learning opportunities as part of alternative education and after school activities
  • Assisting other professionals in supporting vulnerable young people to gain nationally recognised awards and qualifications.
You must be able to demonstrate-
  • Knowledge and experience of working, paid or as a volunteer, with vulnerable children and young people to deliver individual and group work interventions
  • Experience in supporting curriculum planning and evaluation including assessing young people's learning and progression
  • An ability to work flexibly including evenings, weekends and overnight residentials.
Essential qualification requirements for this position are as follows-
  • A Level 2 qualification in youth work
  • Qualified Mountain Leader or Walking Group Leader with an up to date logbook that can be shown on request.
