Job Description

Test Architect £70-80K.

The Test Architect role is a key role which will oversee the technical development of a highly visible Automated Regression Suite. The individual will be expected to bring creativity and innovation to the way automation is utilised across E-commerce as well as non-E-commerce systems. This will involve understanding the requirements of key business and technical stakeholder's and managing the technical direction of local development resources.

The Test Architect will be responsible for the design, refactoring and direction of functional test automation in a Selenium WebDriver/Java context. The current automated solution runs as part of a Continuous Integration environment (delivered via Bamboo)

The skills and experience required for this role will include:

  • 5+ years' experience in test automation, not just in cutting code, but in designing and implementing an Automation Framework to support scalability and maintenance
  • A wide appreciation of the test automation tools market (as well as supporting tools)
  • 2+ years' experience with Selenium
  • Experienced in development (Java is highly preferable but C# is acceptable)
  • Management experience in a Continuous Integration/Version Controlled environment
  • Experienced in managing successful Solution Delivery to defined timescales
  • Excellent management skills to provide direction and support to the automation development team (5-10 people)
  • Good stakeholder management skills with the ability to evangelise and influence others
